Dana King is the author of 14 books, including eight Penns River police procedurals, of which The Spread is the newest; five Nick Forte private eye novels, two having receive Shamus Award nominations from the Private Eye Writers of America; and a standalone novel titled Wild Bill, which is not a Western. His short fiction appears in numerous anthologies and websites. He is a frequent panelist at conferences and reads at Noirs at the Bars from New York City to North Carolina.
